sicilian cassata

I'm looking for the best traditional sicilian cassata (multi layered cake with marzipan covered in white icing and candied fruit). Are there any places that sell it by the slice so you can try it before buying a whole cake? Thanks!

          • I think Ferrara's and Veniero's should have it.

              1. Try Villabate in Brooklyn. They have all sizes of cassata, and they make a cassata flavored gelato also. Inquire about their small cassata or "cassatina", so you can decide whether to move on up to the big boy size.
