Jimmie Mac's Roadhouse

Has anyone had any experience with Jimmie Mac's Roadhouse. We are flying into Sea-Tac and we want to meet some people from Tacoma somewhere in the middle. Jimmie Mac is is Federal Way and the Western theme seems like fun since these folks are Europeans.

    1. I've never been so I can't comment on the food, but my manager likes it quite a bit. If I remember correctly, it's kind of like the Texas Roadhouse Grill chain in the Midwest, where the waiting room has a giant bucket of peanuts that you can snack on, then throw the shells onto the floor. So Europeans might get a kick out of the whole sh**kicker Western spiel.

If food quality is of a higher concern than thematic fun, I'd suggest the Melrose Grill in downtown Renton instead.

        1. Bleen, I have some European friends and the kitsch of Jimmie Mac's will probably really appeal to your guests. The prime rib is excellent--especially for the price point. If they are here for a few more days, I would also suggest taking them to Brank's BBQ (Highway 167, 20th Street Exit, Sumner) for a real Americana experience.

            1. To close the loop. We did indeed go to Jimmie Macs' and thought the food was good and the ambiance fun for Europeans. They were Spaniards from Navarra and Jimmie Mac's has one of their featured filets smothered with blue cheese. It is like the Basque steaks they get in Pamplona except here the beef is better and the cheese milder.
