Ethnic resturant store names just slay me. There are some things that just don't translate well.

For example, The Old Bread Factory... What do you think of when someone says old bread to you? Stale.. crusty... dry...musty... ok we're getting a little off track but you know what we mean.

If it didn't have the word bread in it... we might have passed it by. A closer look, we see underneath ... the original mexican style. Ok we might have something here.

Mexian pastry in Edmonton. Ok that's different. I didn't see a lot of bread but I did see a whole lot of pastries and cookies. On the cash counter they had fried dough balls made of cheese.

Let's just talk about the cookies. We had an orange-chocolate cookie which was a hard type of cookie and another cinnamon cookie called... i think Piedra.. I can't remember all I remember was there 3 fillings pineapple, strawberry or bavarian cream. They were both the size of small bread plates... Ok I guess that's were bread comes in.

The Old Bread Factory. It's new. In fact only 4 months old.
