Garden of Eden usually has quite a wide selection - there are a couple of them around Manhattan.

Manhattan Fruit Exchange in the Chelsea Market carried a large variety last time I was there.

SOS Chef on Ave B b/w 6th and 7th supplies most of the restaurants but also sells retail. Their prices are about in line with Garden of Eden and Manhattan Fruit, but the quality is generally better. I would put them as the best.
