Cafe Brenda closing - MSP

It's not my favorite restaurant or even my favorite Brenda Langton restaurant - I prefer Spoonriver - but it definitely has a place in the Twin Cities' dining history.... Acccording to Heavy Table, Cafe Brenda's closing on December 5. (http://heavytable.com/cafe-brenda-clo...)

Brenda has said that Spoonriver is taking her main focus now so she is choosing to close Cafe Brenda. It is challenging enough to run one quality restaurant, but two at one time is beyond the call of duty especially with scratch cooking, local focus etc. And add the financial situation we are facing now............completely understandable. Thank you Brenda for all of those croquettes!

I have to say that the past few years the quality and flavor of Cafe Brenda's food was lacking; I assume because she was spreading herself thin and was more interested in her other projects...

Smart Cookie, along with having to say that, could you say what you liked about the place when it was better? I have greatly enjoyed the fish specials, salads, and desserts over the years, especially the maple pot de creme! and the cornbread in the bread basket...
