Barcelona - Toddler, Vegetarian and 'regular' Carnivore - need help please
My husband (the carnivore), I (vegetarian, bordering on vegan - Don't eat cheese but take milk / butter / eggs) and our then 17month old will be in Barcelona for one day and night after a cruise and I am looking for recomendations of places to eat, both for lunch and dinner.
We will need someplace that will cater for the 3 of us for lunch.
I am thinking that if we find a hotel with a nice restaurant we can have our toddler eat earlier and then we can possibly eat later (getting a babysitter) ... but this might not work out so I need a backup plan of a place to eat earlier also.
I am reading that most places don't serve dinner until after 9pm which will be too late for our little boy.
What kind of dishes could we expect in a tapas place (sorry for such a 'basic' question but I have never been before so really have no clue.
I am beginning to worry a bit about this so any help would be appreciated!
Thanks so much!
Tapas places that have table service are your best bet for evening meal. Try Pacomeralgo, Cerverseria Catalana, Ciuta Comtal, Santa Maria, Taller de Tapas. For simple lunches: Can Lluis, Anima, Sant Joan, Bar Kasparo, Foxos, El Taxidermista (in the Placa Real), the more upscale Cafe de Academia and Embat, Can Conesa and Xaloc for good bocadillos. You should have no problem finding vegetarian dishes in any of them.
