Hello skylineR33! Looks like you are planning ahead for your upcoming HK trip?!
Thanks for bringing this place to our attention. I just went through their website www.sevvahk.com and is still at a lost as to the what type of outfit this place belongs to? They posted photos of Indian dorsa and curries, Japanese sushi hand rolls, Seared scallops on asparagus and cream sauce as well as mini hamburgers, high tea sandwiches and chocolate confectioneries?! Talk about mix-mash fusion!!! At least the view is good?!
You should post on facebook as well since ex-chowhounder Sherman most likely will be the first to visit new places like this?!›3 Replies-
re: Charles Yu
Hi
it's certainly not new. Have been there for drinks and afternoon tea a few times. It's trendy and popular for drinks at night and some of the cakes are not bad and look pretty. As Charles says great view for a rooftop bar sundowner or late night drinks. The food is not consistent as people have told me.

Thanks, I know it is not new and receive mixed review, but I am just asking if their high tea is good or not (and I am not trying to compare it with l'atelier's high tea), have you been there in the afternoon and which section have you visited ? What is the pricing of their tea set ? I am not going there for their $280 fish soup noodle...

re: skylineR33
I haven't had their high tea. I have been for just a coffee and cake. I cannot remember the pricing. I have been to all sections before at various times. I would recommend going for a sundowner and sitting somewhere with either a harbour or skyline view - you can actually get both separately as the open area goes right around Prince's building so on one side you can see the skyline - esp. the HSBC building just opposite. So go for a late tea and spill over into early drinks. I would say it is more for ambience than food, although the cakes are not bad.
