Where to buy bacalao or salt cod?

Hi guys,

This Thanksgiving I'm trying to recreate ajo arriero - the fishy, creamy, cold mashed potato spread I had at a tapas bar (Casa Angel) in Valencia.

To do this, I would have to procure some dried salt cod. Does anyone know of a place in the Los Angeles area that sells salt cod? I know it's used in Italian and Portuguese cooking as well.

    I just got the flyer from Claro's Italian Market and they have the dry baccala for $7.99/lb,
    the filet is $9.99/lb., which is a good price.

    I know their quality is always really good (according to my mom, who's the
    baccala queen).

      I have had some quality issues with some ethnic markets. I have seen it at Whole Foods close to the dried beans and grains but have not bought any yet.

            El Camaguey in Mar Vista almost always carries bacalao.

              I second the El Camaguey Market, located in Little Brazil.They always have salt cod, bacalhau in portuguese.
