My friend wants us to take her there for her birthday tomorrow.... her favorite chowdown place. Never been. I know its basically a clam shack but is there anything not to be missed on the menu?

Their clam chowder is my favorite, but that's so subjective...hard to be definite about chowder.

LOVED, loved, loved Petey's. I had the best broiled haddock dish from a clam shack EVER! Came to the table piping hot. The creamy cole slaw side was delicious. We shared a huge side order of onion rings. All the fried food was crisp and dry. No grease! Sat @ a high top in the bar and had a nice ocean view. Waiter was fun and efficient. The drive along the coast and up through Newbridge , Strawberry Bank and Portsmouth afterward was great too. Had cappacuni and dessert @ Wentworth by the Sea bar/lounge. Awesome afternoon. :)
