Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Manhattan

Baby-friendly fine food?

Hi,
We'd like to take a friend out to as good as a meal as possible, in a place that would comfortably accommodate our 8-month child.

I searched google and this board, to no avail (perhaps such a place doesn't exist).

In the summer we've eaten outside, which works well, but that is a less attractive option.

Looking for 3 adults at less than $100/person including drinks for lunch, in Manhattan...

Any suggestions would be most welcome...

    1. Accomodate as far as food is converned or accomnodate as far as atmosphere?

Atmosphere, as in, minimal hostility from other guests that we would even imagine bringing a baby in. Places that are a bit boisterous/racous/noisy i guess might make sense, since any little fusses wouldn't be heard...

                  Artisanal would work too

              • Gradisca. Food is quite good, restaurant is loud (but not too loud), and the staff is wild about babies. Gusto and Cookshop were always good to us too.
