Pig head
I'm searching for a pig head, any suggestions? Ideally it will come from a non-factory farmed pig. I've asked at whole foods as well as the santa monica farmer's market and had no luck yet.

I would think that a place like Economy Meats in the Grand Central Market downtown would have it (or would get one for you).

I was somewhat in the area on Saturday, so I tried to stop in but found they were not open. I will have to try again in the near future.

Economy Mets is where we would get our whole suckling pigs for Christams dinner.

try a grocery market that caters to the latino community, like liborio's or even the grand central market...or, a neighborhood carniceria in the east los angeles area, only thing will be if the pig was farm raised or factory

Contact your nearest Northgate Market. They sell whole pigs, heads, etc. at reasonable prices. Don't know about them being non-factory farmed, though. I've purchased good quality from their Santa Ana locations in the recent past.

You might want to try the Koreatown Galleria grocery. They sell most of the other pig head parts (I've seen ears and snout for sure).
