Lunch vs. dinner at Arzak
I just got my reservations for Arzak in January and it's for a lunch but now I am considering trying to switch it because it just occurred to me... is there a substantial difference between the lunch and dinner experiences? I.e. is the tasting menu smaller at lunch? Maybe if a couple people who have been at each meal (respectively) could describe their experiences I could get a sense that way.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
We had dinner there, but I am quite certain that the lunch menus are the same. The maitre d' was pushing the tasting menu but we hesitated to order it because there were dishes on the a la carte menu that we really wanted to try and were not part of the tasting. When he graciously offered to include these dishes in addition to the rest of the tasting, we were willing to follow his advice. The meal was memorable. I think the room is more suited to dinner but I'm sure lunch would be fine. We also had a dinner at Akelare, and if you are thinking of going there, that is a place I would recommend for lunch over dinner, as the spectacular view can be enjoyed more in daylight.

There is no menu difference between lunch and dinner at Arzak. Below is the link to a recent post on the restaurant that might be helpful.
