Dressed Up in Central Jersey

I would like recommendations for restaurants in Central Jersey where I can go dressed up (satin dress for me, suit for dh). Any cuisine is fine, but the food and the atmosphere must be un-fussy. Thanks!

    1. I always dress up when I go to Rat's. Something really nice about strolling the grounds at night in nice clothes:)

I would recommend Restaurant Nicholas in Red Bank. Elegant and unfussy atmosphere and the food is delicious. Even the bar area is understated, but beautiful. We like to enjoy a glass of the house champagne at the bar before dinner. Here's a link to their website..... www.restaurantnicholas.com

I would second Nicholas. Favorite place to go when I want to get dressed up.

                  AND have great food.

                      Ditto to Nicholas and Rats

                2. Fromogerie in Rumson....or

I only like the rooftop for cocktails is Avenue in Long Branch.

Highlawn Pavilion - not sure if this is out of the scope of CNJ, but they request jackets for men, and the ambiance suits it (no pun intended)... Love it there.

And the view at Eagle Rock is wonderful.
