Are you making a specialty food?

Tomatillo or Guadalajara?

A friend suggested either of these 2 restaurants for dinner. Which would you recommend? Thanks.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Both are sort of Americanized Mexican. Guadalajara is actually pretty pricey, and reviews are mixed on this board. I haven't been in a few years. It's got a pretty lively bar scene and would be more of a date place. Tomatillo is much more casual and family oriented, cheaper, less formal, but with good, fresh ingredients and simple but tasty preparations.

Que Chula es Puebla in Sleepy Hollow is a better option than Guadalajara, I think, though service can be slow.

        Tomatillo es muy bueno!!
        But they really are different
Guadalajara is good for the classics, Tomatillo is a little "healthier"
