Le Beaujolais est arrive - mais pas encore a Morgan & York, Ann Arbor

Morgan & York has disappointed me. I know the arrival of the beaujolais nouveau is kind of kitschy and gimmicky, yet it I look forward to it each year. I like arriving at Morgan & York right when it opens to purchase a magnum and a few bottles of the new wines from some awesome, organic vineyards. Alas, this morning, they had none of the wine out yet and unfortunately I couldn't wait for them to haul it out. I'll return tonight to buy some bottles because they ARE excellent. But did they have to ruin my traditional morning splurge? Tant pis pour moi.

That's funny, I was just thinking yesterday that it's was that time of year for the nouveau beaujolais to be coming out. I can't wait to pick up a bottle or two for Thanksgiving(if not before)!

So sorry you were disappointed, but I have nver had a beaujo I have ever liked. Which one do you like?

Domaine de Vissoux. Old vines, organic wine. It is fantastique! they were down to 3 magnums left when I went yesterday at 6, but had more regular-sized bottles available.
