Hey,

We are going to spend this Sunday in Napa (4 adults and 1 toddler 2.5 year old). We plan to do some tasting and then have an early dinner at Bistro Don Giovanni.

I am definitely not the first one who is asking about kid-friendly wineries. I have read everything I was able to find on this subject but the best information I found was that the Rubicon Estate has small wooden boats for kids to play with in their fountain. It would be exactly what we need but I just called them and was told that the wooden boats are not available because they are being fixed.

Do you know any wineries with nice reds where my kid could be entertained in some way considering that his favorite thing is to run around?

We was at one winery a couple of weeks ago, and there was an excavator right near the picnick area. Of course, my boy ran to it to touch its huge wheels and was completely happy, but the we got a lot of critisism from the winery staff for letting our kid to do it.

I would appreciate any ideas - old wagons, tractors, antique cars, boats in a fountain, anything other than just to drag him to the bar counter and keep him quiet while we are tasting.

Thanks!
