Where can I find French eclairs?

Now that Bonte is long gone (sigh) and Payard closed, where are the really good eclairs?Veniero's, Citarella and other Italian places just not up to French standard. Loved the coffee and the chocolate ones at Bonte, Payard's were not as good but still fine. Where are the good napoloens?

    1. The coffee eclair at Patisserie Claude is wonderful. I was slightly underwhelmed by their napoleons, but I know some who love them. It's worth checking out if you haven't been!

        1. La bergamote in Chelsea. Georgia's cafe on UWS.

            1. Dunno about French eclairs, but our family has loved the eclairs at Glaser's Bakery (UES, 87th @ First Ave) for years. When we're in town, we always stop in to get some.

                1. Another vote for La Bergamote,
