I don't know where else you can buy it, but can you tell me what you like about it?

compared to Plugra, French & Irish, it just tastes better, creamier, and a little fruity.

Thanks, I'll have to try it.

Bumping to see if anyone has any more recent sightings for Anchor butter - I used to order it from Fresh Direct but they stopped carrying it. I haven't checked the Fairway but I will this weekend - other suggestions? This stuff is like crack to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found it at the Fairway, and according to a friend Citarella also carries it. Thank god.

Have there been any recent sightings of Anchor butter?
Zabar's has been out for a few months now.

I was just at Fairway looking for it and they didn't have it either - I was so upset. PLEASE bring back our Anchor butter!!!!!

I called Zabar's the other day and they said they had it - I'm heading up there this weekend so will confirm then. Fairway still doesn't have it, nor does Citarella (as of 3 days ago). I contacted Anchor, who referred me to their NY/NJ distributor, but the distributor hasn't gotten back to me about retail stores despite multiple attempts. Very frustrating - I really hope Zabar's wasn't lying!!!!

Wow, this butter sounds amazing! I will stop by Zabar's tomorrow and see if they have it. I'll report back.

I can confirm that Zabar's does carry it - I bought it there today. There were plenty in stock.

HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to buy extra and freeze it - this stuff is like crack and I haven't been able to get it in ages. Thank you!

Welcome!
Just had it today on some good bread, I liked it a lot - not sure if I like it better than our usual Irish butter, but definitely worth the purchase. Thanks for bumping this thread and bringing it to my attention!

You're welcome - and thank you for posting back about it! I went and bought four pounds today, just to be sure I have some in stock in case it disappears from the shelves again. I really like Irish butters, and I usually choose them over anything else if I can't find Anchor, but there's just something about Anchor that I find irresistable. I especially like it a little cooler than room temperature - it has an almost elastic texture that is just incredible to my palate!

Went to Zabar's this morning (not just for the butter) and got some. Tasty on my bagel.
