Romantic dinner, walking distance to Hyatt Downtown (Lafayette place)?

Heading into town for an overnight, and looking for a nice place to take the bride for a birthday dinner. We're staying at the Hyatt, so being able to walk to and fro would be a big plus. I'm thinking of Troquet (loved it last time, but looking for somewhere new). Any suggestions?

    1. The only restaurant that comes to mind that is "walking" distance is Pigalle. Longer walk would be my recommendation and go to Sorellina or the Oak Room, both accessible by short cab rides and/or the T.

      Enjoy

        1. You are within walking distance of a LOT of restaurants. Locke-Ober is very close, but you have the theater district, Beacon Hill, Newbury Street, Huntington Ave. I would go to Hamersley's Bistro - that's my fave, but the Weekly Dig just gave a rave review to Lucca Back Bay at 116 Huntington Ave.

            1. Pigalle is a lot of fun - and they have a $40 prix fix as well as a $95 tasting menu PLUS the a la carte menu.

Radius is walking distance in the other direction.

                1. No. 9 Park and Marliave are both walking distance and great options for what you want.

erbaluce or troquet - both a nice walk on a nice night or a short cab hop

Ii wouldn't call marliave "romantic.." Maybe a nice spot to grab a cocktail and some oysters/apps at the bar.
The one time I went (on a Saturday night, peak time) the place was like a ghost town. I suppose some might view that as romantic, but imo Marliave and No. 9 are in different leagues.
