Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in DC/Baltimore and Suburban Virginia

Work Birthday Drinks/Apps in Baltimore

Several of my colleagues and I share a 30-day window for birthdays and are looking to get together Friday, November 20 to celebrate at one time. Baltimore is a good, central location for us, and we're looking for something reasonably priced and fun. We're all familiar with the area but want to do something a little different, or new. We have beer drinkers, wine drinkers, folks who like a mixed drink and we aren't too picky about food selection, as long as it's good! "Reasonably priced" = for drinks and apps, around $30-35 person. Tack on dinner and we're looking at $70 comfortably.

Any suggestions?

    1. Hmm,

Brewers Art might be a good choice.

        1. Mezze in Fells Point would fit the bill. A little bit of everything for everybody. Fun, upscale atmosphere, great drinks (yummy Sangria), lots of small plates (reasonably priced) to satisfy most appetites, which are also conducive to sharing. The weather is predicted to be mild, so afterwards all of you could meander throughout the area and tap into the local scene of bars, music, boutiques.

Second choice (by the same group who own Kali's Court and Mezze), would be Meli. (It's a block down the street from Mezze). In the lower portion of the restaurant is a fabulously sensuous lounge area. I believe that they even offer entertainment.

Happy Birthday to All. Enjoy!!! FoiGras
