Good Butcher / Meat Market in Sunset Park

Can anybody recommend a good butcher / meat market in either Sunset Park Chinatown or 5th Ave Sunset Park?

I'm sure the cuts will differ between both locations but that's not a problem. Really, I'm just looking for a reliable and clean place to get meat.

You could head up to Eagle Provisions at 5th and 17th which will meet your criteria, but thats probably too far off for you. There are several Chinatown options on 8th Ave in the 50s - it would be worth a walk around to see what you are comfortable with - there was one on the east side of the street where commuications was relatively easy.

Give New Public Meats (5th Ave in the low 50s) a try. Old Puerto Rican (I think) place with a lot of character.
I also like some o the halal butchers in north Bay Ridge, e.g. Family Meats on 5th Ave. in the high 60s, or the one whose name I can remember on 3rd Ave. in the low 70s, which is often staffed by a woman behind the meat display case.
