Barcelona New Years
I am going to Barcelona for 4 days and will be spending New Years Eve there. I've seen prior posts on Barcelona but want recs for New Years Dinner, not insanely expensive but high quality food and a fun atmosphere. Any additional recs for non-new years meals are welcome!
We're also going to be there for NYE and are looking for a good spot for dinner that night. Like the previous poster, we're looking for something with high quality food but also a bit lively.

NYE dinner in Barcelona is typically a family affair celebrated at home. Most of the options you'll find in a restaurant will be expensive (200-500€/person) in hotels or group dinners that already have the place filled up since a long time. That said, there are some good opportunities. Here are a couple of recommendations from a local:
- El Noti, in l'Eixample, has a special dinner that night for 92€. Recommended for good French/Catalan food and wine, beautiful architecture (it is built in an old newspaper print shop). +34 933 426 673, noti@noti-universal.com
- Bestiari, one of my favorite Barcelona restaurants, in the Born does a fabulous dinner (OMG the foie). I'm not sure about the price this year but in the past it's been in the 65-75€ range. http://www.bestiari.es/ - Also tons of good nightlife options around there for after dinner.
An alternative would be to forgo the expensive dinner that night and head to El Poble Espanyol, which is always a good time and will have live music, grapes at midnight, many bars and restaurants to choose from. This will be mostly locals. It's a cover charge of around 40€ that includes some drinks as I recall. http://www.poble-espanyol.com
Whatever you do, stay clear of las Ramblas/Plaça Catalnuya. Unless your idea of a good time is watching British tourists pick fights and vomit. :-
)I'll be dining again this year at Alma in Sitges, a tiny little French restaurant on the beach.

Good to know about Catalunya, we were actually told to go there by a friend, but now i will know to stay away. Poble-espanyol seems like a good option, especially bc some of the restaurants i looked into like comerc24 will be closed that night! Thanks
