Cheap italian for a large group of 15+ college students

Hey there. I'm in charge of planning my roommate's birthday dinner and been running up against a wall trying to find a restaurant that will work. Basically, we're looking for a good, italian restaurant in Manhattan that can accommodate around 18 people and won't exceed $25 per person including tax and tip. Any suggestions?

  1. Dean's Pizza. The square pizza is terrific. The apps, desserts, and wine are all good values. $25 pp including tip when my group goes.

    1. Cucina Di Pesce
      or sotto cinque

      Cucina Di Pesce
      87 E 4th St Apt 1A, New York, NY 10003

      1. I'm glad to see from the earlier reply that Sotto Cinque still exists. What about the Pomodoro restaurants? I haven't been in a long time, but there used to be about three of them, all inexpensive - like Pomodoro, Pomodoro Rosso, etc.

        Pomodoro Rosso
229 Columbus Ave, New York, NY 10023

        Sotto Cinque
        322 E 86th St Apt 1, New York, NY 10028

        Pomodoro Restaurant
        518 9th Ave Frnt A, New York, NY 10018

        1. Carmines or Tony DiNapoli-both great for the occaision

          1. East Village has John's of 12th Street that can accommodate a large group and also has a party menu in your price range.
