EJ's Famous Banana Puddin' in Long Beach

The Long Beach Press-Telegram printed a recent feature regarding a local family's banana pudding business called EJ's FAMOUS PUDDIN' in downtown LB on 625 Pine Ave. Besides this store it is also sold in its $3.00 clear plastic-cup serving (with Nilla Wafers inside) at the LB Farmers Market on Fridays and at Phillip's BBQ and Louisiana Fried Chicken locations. It is the original southern recipe of the owner's mother and sure looks and sounds great! Has anybody tried it? (I plan on trying it soon)

i realize this is an old post, but i recently tried this stuff at the long beach farmer's market and am hooked! the name has changed, though. they have a website and are now called "mabel's gourmet pralines".

Had the "Puddin". Loved it! Not the instant pudding mix I have had at some soul food places. It is very rich tatsting. Can't wait to get more. They also sell it at Dulans "Soul Food Kitchen" Manchester and LaBrea in Inglewood.

I just had the opportunity to try the "Nana Puddin" and it was SLAMMING!!!!!

I have tried it..... Now, I'm familiar w/ banana pudding and theirs just seems like it tastes like condensed milk.... and the pudding is too runny. If you follow the recipe on the side of the nilla wafers box.... you'll find that tastes better. It's ok.

I've had it and IT'S AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
