New Argentinean restaurant
Hi fellow chow hounders,
Have any of you heard of a relatively new BYOB Argentinean restaurant that would have opened within the past 6 months in the city? Possibly Lakeview or Bucktown?

It sounds like you're confusing two restaurants run by the same people. Tango Sur is a popular Argentine restaurant in Lakeview that's been around for a number of years, and it is strictly BYOB. Last month, the same folks opened another Argentine restaurant called Folklore in the Wicker Park/Ukrainian Village area, but Folklore has a full bar.

On a related subject, my bus passed a place on Clark or Broadway (I forget which) just south of Diversey called Lito's or Lilo's that mentioned empanadas in its signage. Is this an Argentine place? Can anyone report on the empanadas?

litos makes empanadas. i believe he is from columbia. it is great take away food. he has 6 or so different empanadas on the menu. he also has 2 dessert empanadas. the golden crust ed empanadas are very delicious and reasonably priced. we live in nashville but have an appartment near by. we always stop by lito's when we are in chicago
