I think Polka would qualify. Small Polish restaurant in a strip mall, very good comfort food, reasonable, family owned.
There are people on this board who like Elena's Greek Kitchen. (I think that's the name)
I haven't had good luck there, but have been in a long time. Others say the food is good and reasonable.

La Cabinita for Mexican, and Zeke's for BBQ - both in Montrose. Skaf's for Lebanese.

La Cabanita and Zeke's (Montrose location only) always seem to feature happy families having fun. And why not? The surroundings are attractive, and the food is tasty and satisfying at both places.
