London - Truc Verd, La Fromagerie or Gordons Wine Bar?
Hi All,
I am looking for a nice, easy-going, quiet and informal place where you can go, order a good bottle (or glass) of wine and have some plates to share with cheese, ham and veggy.
I have found the website of a(n apparently) lovely place called Truc Verd [1], has anyone been there?
Also La Fromagerie [2] seems a nice place to go or shall indeed I consider Gordon's Wine Bar [3] indeed (although not conveniently located for my purposes)?
Or if you have any suggestions for something nice in the Area around Hyde Park?
Thank you so much!

I've been to Truc Vert but it was for a work Xmas lunch a couple of years ago so probably not a good comparison. for what it's worth it was quite nice, nothing special, but it was a set Xmas lunch menu, which is probably not representative of what's normally on offer.
Gordon's Wine bar is not quiet, btw, usually rammed. Near there, and highly recommended by me and others, is Terroirs. You will need to book though.

I second Terroirs, it fits your needs perfectly. Good wine and food designed to share. Gordons is quirky, visit for a quick glass of wine but then head up the road and eat in Terroirs.

Thank you both for your answers!
Yes, I have seen Terroirs and it was my first choice, but it seems that it is closed on Sundays and I am looking for something to celebrate a birthday which happens on a sunday so I was looking for a nice alternative.
But I definitively will go there very soon :)))

Fromagerie is absolutely superb. The wine is lovely there but the focus is equally on the food, which may not be the same at Gordons (I have heard Terroirs food is superb also though).
The vibe in Fromagerie is definitely what you are after. Very casual. Sit around. No hurry to leave the table.
Bean meaning to try Truc Vert for a while now.

There's a good bar in the basement of Fortnum and Mason if you're looking for daytime - they sell flights of wine and lots of different mixed plates of charctuerie / cheese. When I visited it had a relaxed vibe. I'd assume it's open from about 12-6.
You might also consider The Gunmakers pub near LaFromagerie that has what you're looking for and is easy-going if they're not showing a big sports game - you could check. They have pork pies / ham / etc from the nearby Ginger Pig as well as gastrobpub classics and the wine is good. In the daytime it'll be busy on a Sunday because the farmer's market is on from 10-2 - same goes for La Fromagerie which is very hectic on market day.
You could check out Villandry in Great Portland St too - I haven't been there in a while but might fit your brief.

Gordons would probably be OK on a Sunday (are they definitely open?) but whilst the wine is good (old school though) the food is not all that. Agree with Terroirs; love it. You could also try Bocca di Lupo in Soho for Italian sharing plates and a strong wine list, streaks ahead of Gordons. But Gordons is atmospheric if you're not a Londoner so as suggested above maybe have a snifter there an walk up.

Sorry, forgot to add - I think Fromagerie is a great cheese shop, but as an eaterie I find it a bit stressy, few covers, crammed into the shop, which is always packed, so not really a leisurely chat 'n' munch place.

Wow, thank you all for your precious hints and suggestions:)
I am preparing my list and will snoop around in the coming days!
This is really a great place for newbies like me to discover interesting places in London, Thanks!!!
