What to do with Habanero Stuffed Olives?

I picked up a bottle of Habanero stuffed olives yesterday with the idea that I would use them as martini garnishes. I tried one, and WOW they are hot -- way too hot for a garnish, unfortunately.

So, I have a whole jar of these now, and not sure what to do with them... any ideas?

    1. when i saw the title of your post my immediate reaction was to tell you just to eat them straight, as i would. then again, i have an asbestos palate :) perhaps if you remove a little of the habanero stuffing and let it soak in your martini it'll mellow a bit.

        1. Actually they are GREAT in martinis, but you need to warn people that they're more there to add a sniff of spice than for eating purposes. I served a martini like this to a friend who insisted he was going to be ok with it. He spent the rest of the night sweating and asking for water, poor dear.

LulusMom - That was my first thot - a good stiff martini! Yum!

              • Hm... I LOVE spicy olives sliced or chopped on pizza. Or what about in paella? Or as an addition to an olive tapenade?

                  1. In keeping with the martini theme, you could let a few of them steep in a bottle of good vodka for a mid-winter martini warm up.
They're not so great with gin, though.
They're also good for a spicy cheese spread, used judiciously, of course.

                      1. How about Fish Veracruz style. Just skip the pickled jalapenos.
