Cocoa nibs?
I figured I would ask here, since recent post have enabled me to find other ingredients I had been looking for (vanilla beans and pomegrenate molasses). Where can I find cocoa nibs in Montreal?
None of the "big" grocery stores in my neighborhood carry it, and neither do the smaller, European-style stores. Aubut didn't have it. And I was just at Jean Talon Market yesterday, but La Dépense/Olive&Épices do not have it either (they used to carry it, but they no longer do).
In theory, I could probably order it online, but I'd prefer buying it in person. Do you know of any stores in Montreal that do sell cocoa nibs?

Have you checked the chocolate store at the JTM? I think I may have seen them there. It's the one at the south-east corner of the market.

Cocoa nibs are made from raw cocoa (and are more expensive than regular chocolate chips, etc). You can find them at health food stores. I'm in the NDG area, and have seen them at Ambrosia (health food store on Monkland) and Ecollegey. They are also at Aliments Naturels on Sherbrooke Street West in Westmount.

I have found them at March Jean-Talon in the health food store that is right besides the chocolate store.

i bought some a few days ago at the en vrac store in Marche atwater. I never remember the name, but it's the one on the second floor right across from the saussage place (next to premier moisson).

You can find excellent cocoa nibs at FLEUR SAUVAGE, 5561 Monkland Avenue. Right across from Second Cup. Lots of excellent organic health food for vegans and vegetarians.
