Going to London for New Year's!

Melissalg422 Nov 14, 2009 08:14 PM

We're heading from NYC to London for 4 days over New Year's, staying in Shoreditch. We'd love to try a mix of high-end restaurants and foodie finds, staying away from anything that we could get easily in NYC (like sushi, italian, etc.). If there are any winter musts, that's great to know too. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Book way in advance for starters - especially for high end. I think you'd enjoy Maze for an interesting, high-endish place. I'm from NY originally and all my visiting friends/relatives seem to love the restaurant. You can search the messages here for the latest 'finds.' There are some very good Pakistani places like Tayaab's or Needo's, and lots of new Chinese restaurants. Unlike NY, there is other than Cantonese to be found here... and Sedap's for good Malaysian.

Thanks! I've heard good things about Maze, so that's great to hear another recommendations. The Asian options sound interesting too.
