Ok, so my family from Buffalo NY, (20 year old culinary student, 22 year old jazz drummer my husband -a jazz base player and I) are going to NO for a week; the 20th to the 27th of November. We are on a bit of a budget, but with everyone's help on the forum we have decided! This is our itinerary and reservations;

Friday dinner; Dante's...................we arrive too late for lunch at August :(
Saturday dinner; Cochon
Sunday; the PoBoy festival
Monday dinner; Coquette
Tuesday lunch; Emerils (three courses 19.50!)
Wednesday dinner; Galatoire's
Thursday Thanksgiving; Fairgrounds
Friday breakfast; Luke.........catch plane back at 1:30!

We are planning on lots of jazz and filling in breakfast and lunches at Green Goddess, Acme, Cafe Du Monde etc!

Can't wait we.......I will post when we get back!
Thank you all for your help!
Happy Thanksgiving!!

    Congrats on a terrific research job. That's a fantastic line-up!

    I suspect you'll be waddling come Friday(!), but for what it's worth.......

    It's become tradition among many visitors to grab a Muffuletta from Central Grocery the morning of their departure. Some eat it on the plane, while others like to wait until they arrive home.

    Happy Thanksgiving, and have a wonderful trip!

      I think August is lunch daily now, not just Fridays.
      and I just read about Antoine's doing a lunch for $18.40 (may be a 3 course) w/ $0.25 Absolut martinis.
      and Bacco still does their $15 2 course lunch w/ $0.25 martinis (well).
