Italian recs in Medford?

I often drive by some Italian restaurants in Medford, on my way to and from Davis SQ in Somerville. Has anyone dined there recently and have some recs? Thanks!

Italy Italian or Italian American?... You never know when you say "Italian" in New England. If it is Italy Italian you are looking for, I heartily recommend Bistro 5 in West Medford. No pizza or meatballs but yes risotto, homemade pasta, rabbit, wild boar, lamb...

Italy Italian would be good. I don't remember the name of the street, but I think what I was looking at was where DePasquale Bros was.

And don't pass up Bob's Foods. It's take-out only but you can get pasta dishes made while you wait, sandwiches or pizza.

Boccelli's located at 374 Main Street is in the former DePasquale Bros. location. I like the pizza and fetttucine alfredo at Boccelli's. Their sicilian (square) slices of cheese pizza are $1.00 each.

Which restaurants are you referring to? The biggies are the one in Medford Square (Il Faro?) and Botticelli's further up Main St. going towards Somerville. Both are decent if not exactly fine dining. Il Faro is more formal and has a more upscale menu. Botticelli's is more home style with pizza and the usual pasta suspects. If I remember correctly their soups are homemade. It's been some 5+ years since I've been to either however.
