Decent Pizza $10 or less a pie?

Is this actually possible in the city? We like all types of pizza (less keen on Chicago style pie) and really avoid Pizza Hut like the plague.

Fave is a good old margherita, preferably with fresh buffala mozzarella.

Any recs out there?

Thanks again folks :)

  1. With fior di latte, you'll be able to find something for $10, but the addition of mozzarella di bufala will jack up the price $4 or so. A normal margherita tends to go for $10-12; with mozzarella di bufala, it's at least $15. Your best bet from a top Neapolitan pizzeria is probably Motorino's $10 lunch deal: choice of soup or salad with one pizza (marinara, margherita, anchovy, soppressata picante, brussel sprout & speck). It's a great value, especially since the margherita is normally $11 by itself. You'll have to pay extra for mozzarella di bufala though.
