Where can I find a good Moscow Mule?

Can't find them anywhere... please advise! I had the audacity to enquire at Nic's Martini Lounge recently, but they didn't seem to care that I tried to order something not off their exquisite martini menu....

    1. RIP the Cock 'N Bull Tavern where the Moscow Mule (vodka, lime and Ginger beer) was invented.

The problem is going to be finding a bar that stocks ginger beer. I found a recipe that uses ginger liqueur, but there's no fizz:

Ther's a chance the bartender at Musso and Franks' could make one for you ... and if not, maybe the Pig 'n Whistle across the street.

      1. The mandrake makes a good one and its very reasonable priced. Definitely a young crowd though.

YES! The Tam is the place I was trying to think of ...

              2. Roger Room (on La Cienega)

Westside Tavern (in the westside pavillion)

                Bottega Louis (downtown)

                Library Bar (downtown)

                Copa d' Oro (santa monica)

                  1. Thanks everyone, much appreciated!

                      1. Bar Lubitsch a few blocks east of Fairfax on Santa Monica Blvd.

Same folks as Roger Room, Jones, El Carmen etc. but it's a Russian themed bar with plenty of vodkas for drinking straight or spiffed up into various concoctions.

Personally, I'm a fan of a drink they make with fresh apple juice, vodka, and a flammable floater. I ask them to skip the flame and toss in a lemon wedge and it's perfection.

They do however have the mule on menu. I'll try it out next time.
