Does anyone know if Sage in the South End has closed?

They have had a renovation sign posted saying they will open in October and no further word. Anyone know the scoop? It's one of my favorite restaurants!

Sorry to report it is closed. No word on Chef Susi's future plans, but the purported new concept he had announced for the South End appears to be on indefinite hold. I'm sorry to see it happen; I was a big fan, too.

This is really dismaying. I was hoping to try their spaghetti carbonara. I heard that it was very authentic and loaded with delicious pancetta. Why did Sage have to close?

Sign of the times. It won't be the last place with excellent food to close in the coming years. A very tough business.
