Beyond Butterball - alternative turkey reccs?

I was planning to order an Amish turkey from a local market for T-Day, and I got to thinking, what is the difference among the different types of turkey: heritage, Amish, smoked, etc. etc.?

What have you tried? What do you reccommend?

    For the past several years I've used the heritage Bourbon Red from Mary's Turkeys here in California. www.mary'sturkeys.com. Great dark meat and superior flavor.

      I like the brand Eberly. Found in organic groceries and sometimes Whole Foods.
