looking for dried figs in LA area

Hi all,

I always see tubs of dried figs (black mission and calimyrna) at Trader Joe's, and so I was planning to buy some tonight to make a recipe this weekend, but they didn't have any! The employees told me they've been out of them for a while. Does anyone know where else I can find dried figs in the LA area (preferably south bay part of LA)?

I get mine at the Grand Central Market in downtown.

Jon's Markets has dried figs in their mix nut packages, not sure if they have them straight up. Sorry don't know what kind.

Let me know - I'm twitching w/out those black mission figs! But they did not say they were discontinued....that's important!

Ooo, I found organic dried figs at Whole Foods in El Segundo. They're in the bulk foods section, and they have both black mission and calimyrna. Yay, my recipe is saved!

What are you making with the figs? I love figs, grew up with them fresh off the tree.

Lucky you! I was making fig jam to serve with cheese. It turned out great!
