Cipolla Rossa - Where did they go?
We got to love Cipolla Rossa on 1st Ave at 92 Street when all of a sudden the place is closed. Everything is still there and the answering machine is still working, but it's been almost a month now! Does anyone know if they are coming back?

I know, I've been wondering the same thing. I got their answering machine too but haven't heard anything. Does any chowhounder out there know what's going on? I really liked their food...

The 61 St branch closed first. Some people here thought it wasn't as good as the uptown location anyway. We went by the 92 St place a few weeks ago and it is definitely GONE! Too bad, I think if they had a better location with more tables maybe they could have survived. Let's hope they make another attempt when things get better. I loved the fresh made pappardelle with rabbit ragu - where else can find something like this?
