Thanksgiving with Parents in Silver Spring Environs?

ruthambler Nov 12, 2009 03:52 PM

We did the classic "invite the in-laws for Thanksgiving because the kitchen renovation will be done for sure..." -- and the kitchen is a mess. And will be a mess.

We live in Takoma Park. And need to find a fancy, as-quiet-as-possible place to go out for dinner on Turkey Day with New Yorker in-laws who *know* great food. Can't find any reviews of Nicaro with the new chef; Italian is probably out because one of us can't eat gluten. Would like to not have to drive too far (but all suggestions welcome).

Thank you!

Have you been to Ray's the Classics? Not sure if it's open on Thanksgiving - the website is pretty useless. But it's very classy and on the formal side inside that'll make it feel pretty fancy. It's quiet because the tables are spread apart and they'll have plenty of gluten-free options.

All Ray's locations are closed on major holidays.
