  1. D'Angelo Bros in the Italian Market. I think other butchers down there will have them, too, and I'm pretty sure I've seen them at Whole Foods.

If I'm not mistaken, I've seen some live ones at the market from time to time.

i don't think that's been done in quite a few years (there used to be bunnies and lambs too when i was a kid. i had no idea what was in store for them).

there is also a poultry slaughterhouse on spring garden at ridge. it is almost enough to make me give up meat but you can pick out your own bird (duck, chicken, i am sure there are others) or rabbit if you so desire.

I still see live poultry at the Italian Market. There is s store just north of Federal St that has them.

Also in South Philly, there is a live poultry store on the corner of 7th and Dickinson Sts.

    2. I sometimes see ducks in the poultry place at the chestnut hill farmers market. that's not that close to KoP, though. Thurs-sat only.

      1. They have them at Haltemans at Terminal

        1. Dave's at the Flourtown Farmer's Market has them every week. Not too far from K of P. It's on Bethlehem Pike.

          1. I have gotten duck from the poultry stand at Zern's in Gilbertsville

Den is right - Dave's in Flourtown farmer's market. has the best poultry around. I purchase all of my poultry, eggs and milk from him. I also buy duck there. Everything is fresh kill so it will also keep longer than anything you purchase at a regular store. I get to KOP on the turnpike in 15 mins. Just get off at Fort Washington exit of turnpike to 309 S to Flourtown exit and take Haws lane to Bethlehem pike turn left and its on your left.

I swear Den - you and I must trip over each other and not even know it from the sound of it....

Actually I'm very good at tripping over myself!
