I've got a 2 year old and it is getting to be more difficult to take her out. That said, I think that it is a largely age/child dependent question. There are not too many places that a baby couldn't go if you are up for it. Those places are primarily the 21 and old establishments. You will find a lot of families at the Hi-Life and Tutta Bella (on Stone way). My girl likes pizza, so we've hit Veraci a number of times.

Hi Life is very family friendly. Even if you have a bad day, there are so many families there that no one will notice. And the food is worth eating.
Ballard Foodie- don't give up, just keep taking her and she will aclimate to dining out experience. Mine are 5 and 8 now, and we all love going out: adventuring to different ethnic foods, pizza spots, even sushi. Tip: some waitstaff will think it is helpful to bring the kids food first - it's not! they will play or color longer BEFORE food comes than after. so they are done w/ their kid food before your entree even comes - recipe for disaster. Good luck!
