Good wine bar/list near 46th and 6th for my friend the Ambassador
Friend of mine, probably 60 yrs old, wordly, formal yet game gentleman from Washington DC. (Former Ambassador to a central american country as well as an Anglophone Caribbean island)
Staying at the Muse Hotel and I am to meet him nearby for wine. We are both oenophiles. Places I have taken him before that he liked: Cru for dinner, Morell's Wine bar for wine, Vong (years ago!). I also sent him to Compass before the opera which he loved.
I am drawing a blank as to an upscale bar/lounge or restaurant bar to meet him for nice bottle of wine on a Tuesday at 6PM. Midtown.
Bar at DB Bistro Moderne bar? Is the new Royalton any good?
