Two women dining midweek looking for special experience!
Meeting a friend in Paris, staying in the 8th, want to have a special dining experiene. 1-2 stars would be fine, not too worried about the budget, would like to stay central in the 1st, 6th, 7th or 8th.
Have been to Joel Rubochon, Le Violon des Ingres, Ducasse and quite a few others. Nothing too stuffy and food that is more along the classical lines of preparation.
Any help most appreciated!
That really is too vague. We try to only restaurants that are special on this board. We don't know what you like and what is important for you. 1-2 stars is a strange indication. Why not go for three? Is it meant to be an indirect indication of your price range or the degree of luxury/fanciness/comfort?
Nevertheless, I'd point out that Gérard Besson is in the 1st arrondissement, is as classic as it gets, is chic but not overly so. He's also a specialist of game and truffles. Of course there are many others, but they're mentioned daily on this board.
