Business Lunch not far from 52nd/Bdway?

My client is in town for the day tomorrow and wanted to meet for lunch at the revolving Marriot Marquis restaurant. I said no way were we going to a tourist trap. Now I am having a problem finding a good, not-too-expensive restaurant near there. ;-)

A friend recommended Trattoria Dopo Teatro on 44th between 6th & 7th but my client doesn't want to venture too far from her company's office at 52nd/Bdwy. Is there something above average closer to my client's office that's appropriate for a business lunch? (And if you can't think of anything closer, how is Trattoria Dopo Teatro?)

We ended up at the 21 Club. It was great - old school atmosphere and waiters, great, well-dressed crowd. I don't recall what I got (a chopped salad) but I recall that it was very good. Thank you!

The last time I went to Dopo Teatro, it was good, both in terms of food and service. The time before that (a couple of years ago), not. You could certainly do worse, but I wouldn't specifically pick it for a lunch for two.

21 Club is a good choice nearby there...classic old NYC haunt .

Thanks, everyone. I will check these out online. I'm familiar with Blue Fin and the 21 Club but I've never eaten at either (although I have had drinks downstairs at Blue Fin) so I'd like to check the prices. I will try to remember to report that. Thanks, again!

I have taken clients to Blue Fin before, good atmosphere. Bond 45 is also nice.

I've used Blue Fin on B'way and 47th. It's got the right look and well spaced tables.

I don't know the price points-- but I've heard that Azalea is very good and is near there--224 W 51st between B'dway and 8th. if you don't get responses-- and time is late on this--- you might check with the hotel concierge. Good luck.
