Urgent!! I need help finding Wine Spectator ratings

Help! I need to find ratings for several wines. Does anyone know of a (free??) website, other than Wine Spectator's (which you have to pay for) to get their ratings? I'm in the process of obtaining the vintages to be served, but need to at least find a list to search from.

Many thanks!!

Most places make you pay to see more than just a summary (fewer wines).

You might try CellarTracker.com. It is a free sight and the ratings are not professionals, but an average of the ratings from the wine geeks (of which I'm one) who use the site. It is free to register for.

try going to a big wine retailer website like klwines.com and search for your wine in question (making sure to check "include out of stock items"). If the wine scored above 88-89 points, they will often include the score and the critic's tasting note.

What are the wines? We can all probably help you here.

        I think ratings are overrated.

I use CT as well as buy from K&L & Wine.com which has a ratings history past vintages of the wines they carry. Some may be optomistic, but I have been generally satisfied with the results.

I finally got the vintages, here is what we're serving:

            Chardonnay: Iron Horse, Sonoma, 2003
Sauvignon Blanc: Oberon, Napa Valley, 2005
Cabernet Sauvignon: Louis Martini, Sonoma County, 2006; Rutherford Ranch, Napa Valley, 2004
            Merlot: Oberon, Napa Valley, 2006
Pinot Noir: Olivet Lane, Russian River Valley, 2006

I tried K&L and didn't find too much info. I also looked at each winery's websites but those vintages weren't listed either.

I agree about the ratings being overated, but my client wants them. Many thanks!

You didn't try very hard. Here is the 06 Martini Sonoma County Cab:

              Try winemag.com ratings too.

Having tried none of these wines myself, I'd probably go to cellartracker and get everyone's general feel. Most of those kids know their stuff fairly well. Here is the general consensus:

                03 IHC,S- 89/90ish
                05 OSB,NV- mid 70s-low 80s
                06 LMCS,S- mid-upper 80s
04 RRCD, NV- from low to high 80s
                06 OM, NV- no notes
06 OLPN, RR- only one review, 91

Try googling each wine's name and vintage along with "wine spectator" (quotation marks included). A quoted review and rating often turns up somewhere on the Web.

Chardonnay: Iron Horse, Sonoma, 2003 - Depends on which one. Green Valley 88, Green Valley Corral Vnyd 90
Sauvignon Blanc: Oberon, Napa Valley, 2005 - not rated by WS
Cabernet Sauvignon: Louis Martini, Sonoma County, 2006 - 86
                    Rutherford Ranch, Napa Valley, 2004 - 85
                    Merlot: Oberon, Napa Valley, 2006 - 71
Pinot Noir: Olivet Lane, Russian River Valley, 2006 - Which producer? Olivet Lane is a vineyard and lots of producers source PN grapes from it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm doing a menu tasting today and the client has me tied up in knots about the food alone, and the wine issue put me over the edge. I'll look at the other sites and combine the info.

Thanks again for the very helpful info.

Another thing to know is that many, many wines are not rated by WS, and many are rated but not every year. I found the '05 Olivet Lane PN on a store site that quotes WS ratings and they showed only a rating from the 1999 vintage.
