Looking for sushi for lunch today in Brooklyn - recommendations

My wife & I actually have a date since we're both off for Veteran's day. Looking for sushi, take our or restaurant. Any thoughts. I came across a few names that I never heard of: Sushi Tokyo, Sushi Meshuga and a new place, Sushi Room (on Avenue P). Any reviews?

  1. -- Sushi Tokyo is a very small place- like two or three tables. It's kind of like a takeout place with a few tables.
    -- Sushi Meshuga is takeout only- it's a tiny storefront.
    -- never heard of Sushi Room, so can't help you there.

    Several family members went Tea for Two's new place- it's a parve sushi and noodle place. They all loved the sushi there..

    1. In BP, I would recommend SushiKbar (Takeout on 16/42, or sit in Cafe Shalva 53/13).

      I personally wouldn't recommend Sushi Meshuga for a few reasons;
      1. Size- Very tiny pieces
      2. Price- Extra $1 for a few slivers of mango that other places add for no extra charge.
      3. Service- I had to wait quite long, and the store wasn't even busy.....
      4. General- Part of the sushi experience is watching it being rolled in before you. There, it is hidden by a big wall.
      That was a while back, so maybe they've improved since.
      Just my 2 cents.

      1. I know this is a late reply but I have been to the Sushi Room a few times. Delicious fresh sushi for low prices. Beautiful presentation too. I am very into sushi and these guys are GOOD.
