[MSP]Premier Cheese Market closes Dec 6

  1. Bummer! I've never been to Premier Cheese, because that area of Minneapolis is almost impossible for me to get to in my busy routine. But I really liked what I heard, and was looking forward to visiting during the one time per year that I'm over that way. (Unfortunately, that probably won't be before they close.)

    I hate it when specialty gourmet shops go out of business.

      Anne, I think you should make a trip over there, the owner is a really interesting guy who has stories about his Navy years and much more. And he has cheeses you won't find anywhere else.

    2. Is this the end for standalone cheese shops in MSP? E's Cheese closed last year (I think), and now this.

        The cheese stands alone, the cheese stands alone...............maybe so. I can see that with places like Whole Foods and the coops and many of the better supermarkets upgrading their cheese selections that it could be tough to compete with a specialty place for cheese.

          On the other hand, France 44 opened a second location in St. Paul earlier this year...
