Am I the only one seeing multiples of red hearts down the left side of posts?

They seem to have started showing up only within the past few minutes. Some posts have 3, some have 6, etc. Weird.

Gonna take a guess here, that it's an iteration of the auto-linking function that had such a rocky debut here last week.

Those aren't hearts so much as the little red spot-markers that would correspond to a place marked on a map.

The posts probably have references that would be candidates for an automatically-generated place link, and the function is creating the little marker that usually displays beside the database's info about the place.

That auto-generation process was linking to spots that had nothing to do with the topic at hand, and a lot of folks had questions and complaints. Looks like the function has stopped highlighting the reference in the text, turning the reference into a place link, and producing a map with the place link displayed. Maybe some (but not all) of the code has been backed out or turned off.

Does that make sense?

I found I got them when I deleted a 'wrong link' that had been automatically dropped in, so it certainly seems to be related to those automated links.

Hi,

Although I have seen them on other folks post's I had never had them on mine.Until last night.

I edited a post and the newly edited post had a red drop.Unfortunately I missed something and had to edit again.I recieved a second red drop.

Might just be a coincedence....

yup, jfood sees them as well. SOme posts also have the restaurant off the coast of Africa in the middle of the ocean

I don't seem to be seeing them anymore, nor the links to erroneous restaurants at the bottom of posts. Perhaps Chow was in the middle of disabling that "feature" when the red markers showed up in posts from a bit of code that hadn't been removed yet.
