Going out of my mind reading all the various reviews for Mary's Fish, Pearl and Ed's. Please help in telling me which one is the best.

I prefer the one at Pearl, but the only other one I've tried in the area is Mary's, since Mary's is open for lunch on the weekends, whereas Pearl is not. My experience has been that the one at Mary's is quite a bit more expensive than the one at Pearl, without having any more lobster meat. I'm not a lobster roll expert - the one at Pearl does have a bit more mayonnaise on it than some purists would like, but, well, I like mayonnaise. The fried oysters there are excellent, and I prefer the ambiance at Pearl, particularly sitting at the bar.

You might also want to look into the one at Luke's - a relatively new place.

Luke's is the best value around at $14. ask them to go lite or not at all on the seasoning they splash on at the end... the salt can overpower the lobster. (btw... tiny so not much of a sitdown ambience kind of place)

i like Moon Cake, you can get two for the price of Mary's,, Mary;s and pearl's are equal to each other , a rip off but they are ok, alot of mayo. Mooncake has no mayo. I had a good one at Cercle Rouge.
