Brunch in Asheville?

  • 2

We just moved to Asheville, NC from New Orleans and we really miss our NOLA-style brunches. Anyone know of a great brunch spot in the area?

  1. There are several worthy options, but my own personal favorite is Sunny Pointe in West Asheville. They have the best huevos rancheros I've had--though I should add that I've never been to Mexico...or NEW Mexico. (Still, they're pretty darn great.)

    1. I agree that Sunny Point is excellent - I wish we got there more often but my husband hates the wait (usually at least half an hour). Laughing Seed is vegetarian and has a really good Sunday brunch (love their huevos rancheros too) and a unique Bloody Mary (fresh basil blended in to the tomato juice). Curras Dom in North Asheville has a tasty brunch and EXCELLENT adult beverages like screwdrivers with fresh squeezed OJ and kickass margaritas and bloodys. Stoney Knob also has a great expanded brunch menu (love their breakfast burrito), plus a covered/heated patio to boot. I'd think their menu would be the most NOLA-ish...they have crabcakes eggs benedict, stuffed french toast and the like.
